This valve supercedes the 59091 and 59091B non-return valves used on the Air Hat and commercial mask. It is smaller and lighter than the old NRV. The valve is made from two readily available components, the check valve and the adapter fitting. The performance is slightly better and the overall cost is less.
The valve can be ordered as a bail out valve. The adapter is drilled to accept a scuba whip. Note: The second generation Air Hat "A" does not require a non-return valve on the bail out circuit as it is fitted with an air control valve.
The 59091 valve will not be obsoleted but inventory of those valves will be limited so there may be lead times to provide them.
