The first and second AJ Morse and Son helmets have a small faceplate.
Gasket size is 4 7/8" x 5 11/16" x 1/8"
The gasket is shipped dry and the customer can use either Neatsfoot Oil or Olive Oil as a preservative and conditioner.
In the 1930s Morse developed an new bonnet with a larger volume shell and a bigger faceplate assembly. The larger gasket (M0292) size is 5 7/16" ID x 6 1/2" OD x 1/8" thk. Be sure which helmet you have.
