The DESCO Spring Lock is used on the heavyweight and lightweight DESCO Standard Commercial Helmets. The drop pin is spring loaded and is locked open by a one quarter turn of the lifting knob. It is designed to be used with an open lockstop on the breastplate. The lock body requires fitting to the bonnet shell by sanding the back profile to fit the shell and align with the lockstop. The body must be soft soldered to the bonnet shell. DESCO only guarantees the quality of solder on parts as they leave the factory. Parts damaged during installation done outside DESCO's control are not warranteed.
